Sue-Joan Chang, Ph.D. 張素瓊 教授 

Dr. Sue-Joan Chang currently is Distinguished Professor of Department of Life Sciences at National Cheng Kung University. She's Minister without Portfolio at Examination Yuan of Taiwan, and President of Health Food Society of Taiwan.  Dr. Chang holds a Ph.D. in Foods and Nutrition from Purdue University. 

Accolades include but not limited to: Outstanding Nutrition Research Award, Nutrition Society of Taiwan; Outstanding Awards in Academic Research and Technological Development, Health Food Society of Taiwan; Outstanding Alumni Award, Fu Jen University, Taiwan.

Chin-Chu Chen, Ph.D.  陳勁初 教授

Professor Chin-Chu Chen holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University. He is currently the Deputy General Manager of Grape King Bio Ltd., and teaches at National Taiwan University, Practice University, National Hsin-Chu University of Education, National Changhua University of Education and Chung Yuan Christian University. Dr. Chen served as Executive Directors of Lactobacillus Society, and Directors of Agrochemical Society, China Biological Resources Application Association, Health Food Society, and Food Science and Technology Association. Also he is member of National Inspection Bureau Technical Committee and Supervisor at Taiwan International Society of Life.

Tsu-Tsair Chi, NMD, Ph.D. 姬紫材 教授

Dr. Chi has published several books and written over 30 published articles at publications such as the International Journal for Integrative Oncology, Townsend Letter, Chiropractic Economics, Journal of the American Naturopathic Medical Association, and Nutritional Perspectives: Journal of the American Chiropractic Association Council on Nutrition. Additional clinical research on his supplements is also published in the International Journal of Surgery, Cancer Biology & Therapy and the Annals of Oncology. Pei-Ju Chou 周珮如,衛生福利部食品藥物管理署食品組科長 

Pei-Ju Chou, currently is Session Chief of Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare. Ms. Chou holds a Master degree in food science from Fu Jen Catholic University and holds a nutritionist certificate through a national exam.

She has been responsible for food registration for 8 years at the central authority. She is responsible for product registration projects include: health foods, special dietary foods, capsule or tablet foods, genetically modified food material, food additives. Regulatory update and revision, product reviews, and food businesses coaching are all part of her work.

Low-Tone Ho, M.D. 何橈通 教授

Larry L-T Ho, M.D., is a Professor Emeritus at National Yang-Ming University (NYMU) and Consultant Professor Physician and Investigator at Taipei Veterans General Hospital (Taipei-VGH) in Taiwan. He was the Chair of the Department of Medical Research and Education at Taipei-VGH from 1994 to 2009, Dean of Medical School at NYMU during 1999-2005, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Life Science at National Tsing-Hua University. Dr. Ho received his Medical degree from the National Defense Medical Centre with honors, and completed his Residency at Taipei-VGH.  In his early career, Dr. Ho went to the U.S. and appointed as an instructor at the Michigan Diabetes Research & Training Centre and in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Horst was for many years Chief Executive of the Federal Government for Food Law and Food Science e.V. (BLL) and the Federal Association of the German Food Industry e.V. (BVE). He is also longtime member of the Administrative Council of the European Authority for Food Safety (EFSA). He is currently Lawyer at ZENK partnership of lawyers, Berlin.

Dr. Shing-Hwa Liu 劉興華 教授

Dr. Shing-Hwa Liu is currently Professor at Institute of Toxicology, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, and Departments of Surgery and Emergency Medicine, National Taiwan University Hospital.  He has been awarded The 8th National Innovation Award in 2011, Outstanding Research Award at the Pharmacological Society in Taiwan in 2009, A subject of biographical record in Who’s Who in the World in 2000, Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technology-Silver Medal in 2011, and Annual Research Award at National Science Council, Taiwan (R.O.C.) 1991-2013.

In addition to his extensive academic experiences, Dr. Liu also serves as editorial board member and reviewer of many professional journals in the field, including but not limited to: Journal of Food and Drug Analysis; The Open Endocrinology Journal; Open Endocrinology Reviews; Acta Pharmacologica Sinica; American Journal of Physiology: Renal Physiology; Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology.  

Major research area: Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology: To investigate the molecular mechanisms or cellular signaling pathways of functional foods, drugs, toxicants, biomaterials, and diseases (Diabetes, Inflammation, Atherosclerosis or Osteoporosis)-related cellular function or dysfunction using in vitro and in vivo models.

Ming-Fu Wang, Ph.D. 王銘富 教授

Dr. Ming-Fu Wang has extensive research and experiences in nutrition and health sciences.  He is currently Distinguished Professor of Department of Food and Nutrition at Providence University, Director of International Aging Industry Research and Development Center at Providence University, and School Counselor at Providence University. Dr. Wang has been President of Yuanpei University of Medical Technology and Dean of College of Health Sciences at Yuanpei University of Medical Technology. 

Dr. Wang received his Ph. D. of Medical Sciences from The University of Tokushima, Japan, and have been taking leadership roles in professional associations including Chinese Cultural Trade Biotechnology Association, Health Food Society of Taiwan,  and Taiwan Association for Food Protection etc.  Dr. Wang is also the Founding Chairman of Anti-aging and Health Society of Taiwan.

John Wycoff, D.O.

Shigeru Yamamoto, Ph.D., R.D. 

Dr. Shigeru Yamamoto,  is currently Professor of Jumonji University and Director of Asian Nutrition and Food Culture Research Center, and supervises more than 300 Japanese and international graduate students. He is also Professor Emeritus of Tokushima University, Ochanomizu University, and Honorable Professor of Hanoi Medical University.  His research has focused on public nutrition and published more than 500 articles in international and domestic journals and books. 

In addition, Dr. Yamamoto has devoted his profession in various roles: Chairperson of Board for Japanese School Lunch DRIs 2007 and 2010, Secretary General of ICD 2009 Yokohama, International Advisor at ICN 2009 Thailand, ACD 2010 Thailand, 2014 Taiwan and the Vietnam Minister of Health Award 2011.  He has been awarded Academic Prize of Japanese Society of Food and Nutrition 1998 and JDA1999, President’s Award at the 50th Anniversary of the Japan Dietetic Association, and Japanese Minister of Education Award 2009.
